On the way to a real powerful country of die metal stamping parts, China still has a variety of current situations that need to be improved, which involves all aspects of the current development of hardware stamping parts industry, such as product quality, standardization level, talent supply and demand, product structure, innovation ability, relationship between enterprises, and overseas market development. The first is to improve product quality.

At present, the process conditions of automatic lathe parts manufacturers are uneven, which seriously affects the accuracy and quality of automatic lathe parts. For example, the different materials of precision heat treatment and metal stamping parts make it difficult for domestic molds to match foreign products in appearance quality and service life. Domestic molds mostly use 2Cr13 and 3Cr13, while foreign molds use special materials. Their comprehensive mechanical properties, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and polishing brightness are superior.

Secondly, the level of standardization needs to be improved. The standardization of Chinese mould (European gauge pin) started late, and the production, sales, promotion and application of standard parts are relatively backward. At present, the use coverage of mould standard parts (Chinese gauge pin) is about 40% ~ 45%, while that of international standard parts is generally higher than 79%, and that of medium and small moulds is more than 80%.

It is urgent to change the situation that the demand for hardware stamping parts processing talents is far greater than the supply. The cultivation of metal stamping processing talents is a long-term process and requires years of experience. However, limited by the conditions of hardware and software facilities, some colleges and universities have not cultivated enough practical skills of professional students; at the same time, the lack of standardized vocational teaching standards has led to a variety of training classes in society.

Further efforts should be made to speed up the structural adjustment of power pin products. The general development direction will still be to realize the development speed of large-scale, precise, complex, long-life molds and standard parts of molds higher than the overall speed of the industry; continue to expand the proportion of plastic metal stamping; expand the number and capacity of professional die casting mold manufacturers.

Increase investment to strengthen innovation ability. It is necessary for the backbone enterprises to provide all kinds of hardware pins from die rough processing and heat treatment to various American pin, Australian pin, Korean pin and English pin. The general enterprises should also have numerical control processing equipment to realize the full-automatic processing of die manufacturing. And strengthen innovation through promoting cooperation between industry, University and Research Institute.

It should be the general trend to promote the joint reorganization among mould enterprises. This is mainly to consider that a considerable part of the current mold enterprises are private enterprises, which objectively has the problem that advanced mold making technology and equipment are difficult to import, which undoubtedly intensifies the competition in the middle and low-end market.
